Presque Isle Ponds

Habitat: Open Water, Willow, Alder, Dogwood Swamp.

Best Birds:  Well mowed trails allow for easy walking around the two large ponds.  Much of the vegetation is dense shrub edge providing easy viewing of waterfowl, Common Loon, Spotted Sandpiper, herons, Bald Eagle, Osprey, flycatchers, vireos, Golden-winged Warbler, Northern Parula, Blackburnian Warbler, and Scarlet Tanager

Directions: 43 miles SE of Ironwood, MI/13.6 miles north of Boulder Junction. From County Hwy W enter the roadway to Pipke Park where there is a parking area near the pavilion, (46.24765, -89.73427).
