https://ebird.org/wi/hotspot/L1317650

Habitat: Open Water, Marsh. Though only 3 acres in size, Royce Dallman County Park provides excellent vantage points for viewing extensive Open Water and Marsh habitats.

Best Birds: At the parking lot and boat ramp, check the open water of Lake Koshkonong in spring for waterfowl, including both Lesser and Greater Scaup, and for gulls and terns. East of the parking lot is a large cattail marsh, where Caspian Tern, Black Tern, Forster’s Tern, both Sedge and Marsh Wren, Yellow-headed Blackbird, and many waterfowl are found. During songbird migrations, check the trees along the park entrance for less common warblers, such as Prothonotary, Bay-breasted, and Wilson’s.

Directions: 33 miles SE of madison/4.6 miles east of Edgerton and 10 miles north of Janesville on N. Charley Bluff Road.
