Habitat: Marsh, Open Water, Willow, Alder or Dogwood Swamp, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Northern Hardwood Forest, Pine Plantation.


Best Birds: The extensive marsh, open water and swamp located halfway down Garrity Road are good for ducks, Virginia Rail, American Bittern, herons, Northern Harrier, swallows, Sedge Wren, Swamp Sparrow, Golden-winged Warbler, and other marsh birds. A walk through the forests located along Garrity Road and adjacent trails (including horse trails) may produce a variety of woodpeckers, owls, vireos, thrushes, nuthatches, sparrows, warblers,and forest specialists, such as Broad-winged Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, and Scarlet Tanager.


Directions: 28 miles N of Green Bay/5.5 miles S of Oconto Falls. Garrity Road is N of County Road E, 4.5 miles W of  I-41/US 141. Park along the side of the road near the Marsh / Open Water at 44.805026°, -88.139161°. To access the trail system, park off the road in a small, sandy pull-off area at  44.813519°, -88.138491°.
