Habitat:  Oak-Hickory Forest, Urban Parkland, Southern Hardwoods Forest, Open Water, Native and Restored Grassland.

Best Birds:  In the hardwoods along Rountree Branch look for White-eyed Vireo, Warbling Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Louisiana Waterthrush, and Yellow-throated Warbler.  In the parkland look for woodpeckers and Orchard Oriole.  In the grasslands watch for sparrows and Eastern Meadowlark.  For night birding listen for Barred Owl and Screech Owl.

Park in lot adjacent to the tennis courts and walk the trail along Roundtree Branch.   Trail follows Roundtree Branch until Southwest Road.  At the bridge over Roundtree Branch follow the trail into the Restored Prairie and Grassland.  At Southwest Road the trail  connects with an additional trail network located in the southern portion of Platteville.
