Spruce Lake Bog - State Natural Area contains one of the most southerly stands of black spruce in the state. The boardwalk will take you through a small section of the property and a limited view of the bog and the 35-acre lake. If you have not found the above species using the boardwalk, walk the edge of the airstrip or canoeing the lake, as this can be very rewarding.

Be very careful along the boardwalk, as the area has poison sumac and an unstable bog substrate beyond the boardwalk. To protect this unique habitat, remain on the boardwalk!
