Habitat: Native and Restored Grassland.

Best Birds: Northern Harrier, Sedge Wren, Grasshopper Sparrow, Clay-colored Sparrow, Henslow’s Sparrow, and Eastern Meadowlark. From the parking lot one should almost immediately hear Henslow's Sparrow. If not, walk northwest along the mowed trail and you most likely will be rewarded a view of this species. Also expected are Eastern Kingbird, Bobolink, and Eastern Meadowlark. Straight north of the parking lot is a geological kame. The area surrounding the kame can be good for Brown Thrasher, Sedge Wren, Grasshopper Sparrow, Clay-colored Sparrow, Eastern Towhee, and Orchard Oriole (rare)., Northern Harrier nests in the area as well. Beyond the kame and a wooded hedge, the restored prairie extends north again. This area can be more reliable for Grasshopper Sparrow. During the winter months Rough-legged Hawk and Northern Shrike frequent the site.

Directions: 52 miles NNW of Milwaukee/20 miles southeast of Fond du Lac. From Highway 45 take County Highway SS to County Highway G. Jersey Flats Prairie Restoration Project extends north from the intersection of County Highway G and County Highway SS for about 1 mile and east about .25 mile.
