Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest.

Best Birds: Both cuckoos, Red-shouldered Hawk, Barred OwlRed-headed Woodpecker (uncommon), Pileated Woodpecker, Winter Wren (uncommon),  Acadian Flycatcher, Mourning and Hooded Warbler, and Scarlet Tanager. From the parking area an early morning summer walk south on County Highway GGG can usually produce Red-headed Woodpecker, Acadian Flycatcher, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Cerulean Warbler (uncommon),  Mourning Warbler (at the parking lot), and Scarlet Tanager. Hiking the trail west from the parking lot, may also yield Red-shouldered Hawk, Barred Owl, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow-throated Vireo, Winter Wren (rare), Wood Thrush, and Hooded Warbler.

Directions: 53 miles NNW of Milwaukee/20 miles southeast of Fond du Lac. From Highway 45 take County SS to County GGG then  south 0.1 miles to the  parking lot (43.61390, -88.17152).
