Pardeeville - Chandler Park

Habitat: Open Water, Marsh, Urban Park.

Best Birds: The best viewing area for migratory waterfowl after the ice leaves until about mid-April is at Chandler Park for Common Merganser, Red-breasted Merganser, Common Loon, Double-crested Cormorant, and American White Pelican feeding on gizzard shad. Breeding birds include Osprey, Bald Eagle, and Chimney Swift.

Directions: 35 miles N of Madison. In Pardeeville, at the intersection of Highway 22 and 44 (Lake Street) go east on Highway 44 for 0.2 miles and then north on Park Drive for 0.1 miles to the entrance of Chandler Park (43.542108, -89.297447). There is a boat launch and viewing area on Highway 44, 1 mile east of the Highway 22 and 44 intersection (43.54326, -89.28359).
