Habitat: Over 2,000 acres of Native and Restored Grassland, Marsh, Dogwood Swamp, and Open Water.
Best Birds: Hike the dikes though the marsh for waterfowl, Redhead, Ruddy Duck, Virginia Rail, Common Gallinule, shorebirds, Black Tern, Forster’s Tern, Least Bittern, American Bittern, egrets, Black-crowned Night-Heron, Sedge Wren, Marsh Wren, Swamp Sparrow, and Yellow-headed Blackbird. Search the grasslands for Northern Harrier, Sedge Wren, Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, Clay-colored Sparrow, and Henslow’s Sparrow.
Directions: Located 11 miles southwest of Oshkosh on County M. The dikes can be reached from the main parking lot (43.960618, -88.768700) or further south from a second parking lot (43.945262, -88.771273).
