Habitat: Marsh, Sedge Meadow, Successional Oldfield, and Dogwood Swamp.
Best Birds: Check for waterfowl, herons, egrets, rails, Northern Harrier, Sedge Wren, Marsh Wren, sparrows, and blackbirds. In winter look for Short-eared Owl, Rough-legged Hawk, and Northern Shrike.
Directions: 12 miles west of Appleton on Shady Lane. Stop anywhere along Shady Lane (44.22849, -88.60068).
