Habitat:  Approximately 1000 acres of DNR public land with Cropland, Southern Hardwood Forest, Marsh, Native and Restored Grassland, Pine Plantation, and Successional Oldfield.

Best Birds: Black-billed CuckooGreat Horned Owl,Yellow-throated Vireo, Tufted Titmouse, Wood Thrush, Blue-winged, Golden-winged, Mourning, Chestnut-sided, and Nashville Warbler

Directions:  47 miles W of Appleton/approximately 16 miles south of Waupaca, and 5 miles north of Wild Rose on Highway 22, go east on Aniwa Drive to start a loop drive. Follow County K, Aniwa Rd., 22nd Drive, Apache Road and 19th Road to find various parking spots for access to the river or bird from the roadside. (44.20660, -89.22089)
