Jorgens Park Preserve 

Jorgens Park and Preserve, Waupaca County, WI, US - eBird Hotspot

Habitat: Bottomland Hardwoods, Open Water, Marsh, Restored Grasslands, Upland Conifers. 

Best Birds: Osprey are regular nesters in a pole box on the marsh path, Merlin, Black-billed Cuckoo, Willow and Great-crested Flycatcher, Yellow-throated Vireo, Cedar Waxwing, Veery, and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher are possible along the way.

Directions: 26 miles E of Stevens Point/In Scandinavia take Silver Lake Road east to the Preserve on the left (44.46446, -89.13524). Or from Hwy 49 access the park on the north side (44.46758, -89.13798). There is one trail with boardwalks around to the north side of the lake and another climbing into the conifers.

Visit the Preserve, then, continue on Silver Lake Road east through two miles of continuous woods until you meet Blueberry Road. Turn right and after a short distance you will join back with the Tomorrow River Trail back to Ogdensburg.
