Trego Nature Trail

Habitat: Northern Hardwood Forest, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Marsh, Open Water.

Best Birds: On this 1.5 mile National Park Service maintained trail, look for Ruffed Grouse, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, vireos, flycatchers, Hermit Thrush, Black-and-white Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, and Scarlet Tanager in the forest on top the bluff overlooking the Namekagon River. Pine Warbler, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Eastern Towhee are regular in the stand of red pine growing in sandy soil. Canada Warbler is best found near the west end of the trail. 

Directions: 64 miles SSE of Superior/One half mile east of Trego on US Hwy 63
