Habitat: Oak-Hickory Forest, Oak Savanna, Marsh, and Sedge Meadow.
Best Birds: Summer residents include Alder Flycatcher and Sedge and Marsh Wren in the wetlands. Yellow-billed and Black-billed Cuckoo, Acadian Flycatcher, Wood Thrush, Veery, and warblers such as Cerulean, Hooded, and Chestnut-sided can be found in the woodlands. Overlooking the lake one may find various ducks, Osprey and occasional Bald Eagle.
Directions: 39 miles SW of Milwaukee/3 miles south of Eagle. 1 mile south of Highway LO on Nature Road. Small parking area on east side of road. Walking east from the parking lot will take you through a mosaic of habitats leading to the lake. (42.838320, -88.463616)
