Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest, Native and Restored Grasslands, Successional Oldfield, Open Water, Sedge Meadow, Bottomland Forest.

Best Birds:  Alder Flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher and Sedge Wren use the lowland habitats.  Red-headed Woodpecker, Henslow’s Sparrow, Orchard Oriole breed on the ridge top, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Wood Thrush, and Scarlet Tanager are found in the forest.

Directions: 38 miles SE of LaCrosse. From La Farge take State Highway 82 west to Husker Hollow Road, go south to Tunnelville Road where there is a small parking area and trailhead (43.573377, -90.694156)
