Duck Egg County Forest

Habitat: 700 acres of Northern Hardwood Forest, Bottomland Hardwoods, Cropland, Marsh, Mudflats, and Open Water

Best Birds: Wild Turkey, Pileated woodpecker, Henslow’s Sparrow, Bobolink, Orchard Oriole, Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Directions: 24 miles SE of LaCrosse. The west parking area (43.590538, -91.021920) is about 9 miles west of Viroqua on Irish Ridge Road.  The east access (43.591575, -91.001873) is on Irish Ridge Road
