Habitat: Northern Hardwood Forest, Open Water.

Best Birds: This is a good vantage point for viewing many waterbirds including Black Scoter, Horned Grebe, Bonaparte's Gull, Black and Forster's Tern, Common Loon, Bald Eagle, and Osprey

Directions: 34 miles NW of Green Bay/7 miles east of Shawano on Highway 22 north of the junction with Hwy 117 in the village of Cecil. There is a parking lot north of the junction, next to the lake.

On calm days, the curvature of the earth can be seen, looking west, from the Cecil Boat Landing, to the north of the site.
