Shawano Lake Historical Marker

Habitat: Hardwood Swamp, Open Water.

Best Birds: Surf and White-winged Scoter, Long-tailed Duck, Horned and Red-necked Grebe, Bonaparte's Gull, Black and Forster's Tern, Common Loon, Bald Eagle, Osprey. 

Directions: 35 miles NW of Green Bay/2 miles east of Shawano. From the intersection of Hwy 55 and Hwy 22 go 2.3 miles east to the State Historical Marker on the north side of the road. There is a wide shoulder next to the historical marker. An island can be seen about 1 mile out into the lake.
