Navarino State Wildlife Area, Sandy Lane

Habitat: Pine Plantation, Hardwood Swamp, Alder Swamp, Successional Old Field. 

Best Birds: Sandhill Crane, Whip-poor-will, Alder Flycatcher, Sedge Wren, Veery, Wood Thrush, Pine and Nashville Warbler, Henslow's and Swamp Sparrow, and Scarlet Tanager.

Directions: 37 miles NW of Green Bay/11 miles east of Clintonville. Near the east end of Townline Road go south on Sandy Lane. Continue 0.4 miles to a parking area (44.67197, -88.51925). 

Site Address & Additional Information: 

The pine plantation to the west of Sandy Lane is private Property. The large grassy field to the south is state wildlife area.
