Hofa Park Area

E-Bird Hotspot requested

Habitat: Cropland, Northern Hardwood Forest. The fields around the crossroads community of Hofa Park are mostly agricultural.

Best Birds: This is a reliable area most winters to find Snowy Owl. Just before sunset until dark is when the owls are most active. Driving the roads in the area is the best way to find them. Manure spread in fields is a good place to look for small birds feeding in winter such as Horned Lark, Snow Bunting and Lapland Longspur. Gray Partridge are no longer reliable here.

Directions: 20 miles NW of Green Bay/6 miles southwest of Pulaski. From Hwy 55 go west on Redwood Drive 1 mile to the intersection with Maple Road. Drive the roads in all directions from this point.
