https://ebird.org/wi/hotspot/L599944?yr=all&m=&rank=mrec

Habitat: Bottomland Hardwoods, Shrub Swamp, Open Water

Best Birds: Scan the Wisconsin River for waterfowl, grebes, loons, gulls, and terns. Keep an eye on the shrub thickets and small pools on the west side of the dike. This area produces Sora, flycatchers, vireos, wrens, thrushes, Cedar Waxwing, warblers, sparrows, and blackbirds. At 0.3 and 0.5 miles north of the parking lot, two trails head west from the dike into bottomland forest. Expect Osprey, woodpeckers, Least Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, vireos, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Wood Thrush, warblers, and blackbirds. Common Raven can be seen/heard flying over anywhere on the property.

Directions: Located on the west side of Stevens Point. Cross the Clark St Bridge and turn north onto West River Dr. Follow this road to a parking area that is on the east side of the road just before West River Dr curves northwest.
