Habitat: Marshland, Northern Hardwood Forest, Cropland.

Best Birds: Eurasian Collared-Dove may habit the farms along Rainbow Dr (9th St). Ruffed Grouse, flycatchers, vireos, sparrows, blackbirds, and warblers can be found in the roadside woodlots. The sod farm should be scanned carefully for ducks and shorebirds. In fall this is good habitat for Buff-bellied Sandpiper. Horned Lark, Savannah Sparrow, and Eastern Meadowlark are normally present. Hawks and Falcons can be seen anywhere along the road.

Duck Trail bisects Lost Creek Wetland to the south of the sod farm. The cattails and small pools produce waterfowl, Pied-billed Grebe, rails, Common Gallinule, shorebirds, American Bittern, Least Bittern, herons including Black-crowned Night-Heron, raptors, Willow Flycatcher, Marsh Wren, blackbirds, and sparrows. The woodlots and shrubby area on the south end of the road can yield flycatchers, vireos, Northern Shrike (winter), Clay-colored Sparrow, Orchard Oriole, and warblers.

Directions: Located just northeast of the Stevens Point City Limits, Rainbow Dr can be reached by taking Brilowski Rd north of Hwy 10, just after the road curves to the east, continuing straight after the stop sign onto Rainbow Dr. The Green Meadow Turf Sod Farm will be on the north side of the road after passing through a short stretch of willows. Lost Creek can be accessed by turning south onto Duck Trail at the east end of the sod farm.
