Jordan County Park

Habitat: Mixed Coniferous Forest, Bottomland Hardwood Forest, Open Water.

Best Birds: Searching the tall white pines around Jordan Pond can yield Broad-winged Hawk, flycatchers, vireos, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and warblers. Scan Jordan Pond from the campground area for ducks, shorebirds, terns, and loons. A short hike below the dam through the hardwoods can provide an opportunity for flycatchers, vireos, Wood Thrush, sparrows, warblers, and Scarlet Tanager

Directions: Located 3 miles northeast of Stevens Point off of Highway 66. The main parking area can be reached by turning north on County Y from 66, then making an immediate right into a parking area (44.578437, -89.499997). The campground is just north of these facilities on County Y. 

Another parking area is for access to the area below the dam, this lot can be reached by turning south onto the gravel road on 66 just before County Y (44.574183, -89.502039).
