Habitat: 657 acres of Marsh, Quaking Sedge Meadow, Tamarac, Bog Birch and Mature Pine/Oak Forest.

Best Birds: Species present along the access ridge bordering the east side of the marsh include Black-billed Cuckoo, Eastern Whip-poor-will, woodpeckers, flycatchers including Willow and Alder Flycatcher, vireos, Veery, Orchard Oriole, Blue-winged Warbler, Nashville Warbler, and Scarlet Tanager.

Marsh and Bog birds are Yellow Rail, Virginia Rail, Sora, American Bittern, Northern Harrier, Sedge Wren, Marsh Wren, Henslow's Sparrow, LeConte's Sparrow and Bobolink.

Directions: 60 miles N of Madison/Five miles north of Montello on State Highway 22. Turn east on County J one mile to Edgewood Road north one mile to parking area. (43.872263 - 89.278472). Walk 200 yards west on road to trailhead then north one-half mile on primitive trail. A second access is 6.3 miles north of Montello on State Hwy. 22. (43.879155 - 89.302591). Knee boots or hip boots are a must in quaking bog. Do not approach open water or creek areas!
