Walla Hi County Park

Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest, Conifer Swamp, Hardwood Swamp, Successional Oldfield.  

Best Birds: Common birds of upland forest include Wood Thrush, Ovenbird and Scarlet Tanager, with Blue-winged Warbler and Mourning Warbler in swampy areas.  Southern species such as Acadian Flycatcher, Hooded Warbler, and Cerulean Warbler have been found breeding here in some years. Eastern Towhee and Field Sparrow are found in the successional habitat. 

Directions: 45 miles S of Green Bay/ 4 miles east of Kiel. Enter Mueller Road from South Cedar Lake Road (43.9064, -87.94239).

Site Address & Additional Information:

Extensive closed forest with hilly glacial landform topography and small creek bottom habitats.  A segment of the Ice Age Trail passes through the site.
