Rosecrans Pond

Habitat: Approximately 80 acres of Native and Restored Grassland, Open Water and Marsh.  

Best Birds: Birds found in grassland areas include Northern Harrier, Bobolink, and Eastern Meadowlark.  Water areas host a diversity of ducks, especially in spring, plus migrating shorebirds during low water periods in late summer.  Sandhill Crane congregate here in numbers during fall staging periods.

Directions: 18 miles SE of Green Bay/ 1 mile west of Maribel on County Highway Z.  Access from Rosecrans Road on the west edge of the site.  Park on the shoulder of the road, (44.27287, -87.82692).
