Habitat: Open Water and Mixed Coniferous Forest.
Best Birds: Walking around the park one can find Blue-headed Vireo along with a variety of sparrows, finches, and warblers. Cedar Waxwing and Eastern Kingbird forage for insects above the water by perching in trees along the river and sometimes are accompanied by Scarlet Tanager. Also remember to keep an eye out for flyover Osprey and Bald Eagle.
Directions: 59 miles NE of Wausau/24 miles northeast of Antigo. The park entrance is on the west side of State Trunk Highway 55 (45.336556, -88.894080).
