Antigo Lake/Springbrook Trail

Habitat: Urban/Residential/Industrial, Open Water, and Marsh.

Best Birds: Various ducks can be expected along the Antigo Lake portion of the trail including mergansers, Lesser Scaup and Ring-necked Duck, along with swallows and Chimney Swift. Along the boardwalk portion of the trail Northern Shoveler, and Blue-winged Teal can be found among the reeds with neighboring Sedge Wren and Swamp Sparrow. A mix of flycatchers, vireos, and warblers can be seen and heard along the trails.  

Directions: 35 miles NE of wausau in the city of Antigo. A parking area across the street from the boardwalk is located at Langlade Road Park off 2nd Avenue (45.144368, -89.138415), and additional parking areas with trail access can be found throughout the city.
