Habitat: Bottomland Hardwoods, Open Water, Willow, Alder or Dogwood Swamp, Pine Plantation.
Best Birds: Several miles of gravel road takes you through the campground areas spread throughout the bottom lands and oxbow lakes adjacent to the Pecatonica River. Red-shouldered Hawk can be found in the area. Pileated and Red-headed Woodpecker have been reported as well. This park provides good habitat for a variety of species including cuckoos, warblers, vireos, flycatchers, and thrushes.
Directions: 51 miles SW of Madison. From the intersection of County M and County Y in Woodford, travel north on County Y to the park entrance, (42.661187, -89.876169).
