Habitat: Bottomland Hardwoods, Marsh, Open Water.

Best Birds: Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Red-shouldered Hawk, Osprey, Barred Owl, Red-headed Woodpecker, Willow Flycatcher, Cerulean and Prothonotary Warbler.

Directions: 18 miles N of la Crosse. From Hwy 53 take Hwy 35 two miles west.  There are two trailheads in La Crosse County.  The South Parking Area is located directly north of the Black River boat landing on Hwy 35 (44.00041,-91.32658).  There is a two track road heading north parallel to the Black River.  The Seven Bridges Trail parking lot is located on the west side of Amsterdam Prairie Rd about 1.5 mile north of Hwy 35 (44.02121,-91.30625).  From that lot, the trail heads directly west toward the Black River and crosses seven historic bridges as it crosses sloughs and bottomland forest.
