Wall Road Area

Habitat: Non-Native Grasslands and Pasture, Northern Hardwoods. 

Best Birds:Upland Sandpiper , raptors, sparrows, meadowlarks, and Bobolink. Good for migrant songbirds

Directions: 12 miles WNW of Ironwood, MI/ 7 miles west of Hurley. North and northeast of the tiny village of Saxon. The area lies north of Hwy 2, use Lake Head Rd from the east or County B from the west to access Wall Road. Additional fields off Hwy 122, County B, and Sand Road can also be explored.

This site is a driving route to follow through open grasslands which are rare in Iron County. Wall Road is gravel and can be soft in spring.
