Habitat: Dry and Sand Prairie, Native and Restored Grassland, Southern Hardwood Forest, Successional Oldfield.
Best Birds: From the parking lot explore the prairie atop the bluff to the south for grassland and shrub species such as Bells’ Vireo, Grasshopper Sparrow, Henslow’s Sparrow, and Bobolink.
Directions: 35 miles S of Madison. From Albany, go west on State Highway 59 for 2 miles, then north and west on County Highway F 1.8 miles, then south 0.1 mile on an access lane to a small parking area (42.704301, -89.493531). Look for the State Natural Area sign.
