Liberty Creek Wildlife Area

Habitat: Marsh, Willow, Alder or Dogwood Swamp, Successional Oldfield, Southern Hardwood Forest.

Best Birds: Drive Brooklyn - Albany Road as it bisects the wildlife area and check for Wilson’s Snipe, Least Bittern, Willow Flycatcher, Northern Shrike, Marsh Wren, and Veery.  English Settlement Road gives access to the center of the property to explore the hardwood and successional oldfield habitats.

Directions: 26 miles S of Madison/South of Brooklyn 5.5 miles on Hwy 104, then west on Brooklyn - Albany Rd 1.4 miles (42.770170, -89.405651). Park at the west end of English Settlement Rd for another access point to the area, (42.756118, -89.39827).
