Habitat:  Non-native Grasslands and Pasture, Alder, Willow or Dogwood Swamp, Conifer Bog, Northern Hardwoods, Marsh, Open Water.

Best Birds:  Look for a variety of waterfowl including Trumpeter Swan.  Shorebirds may include Upland Sandpiper.  Northern Harrier and American Kestrel are regular while Broad-winged and Rough-legged Hawks are occasional.  Snow Bunting are regular in fall and winter plus 9 species of sparrow including White-crowned Sparrow. Bobolink and 7 species of icterids including Brewer's Blackbird are regular.  Uncommon warblers include Black-and-White and Mourning Warbler.

Directions: 70 miles NE of Wausau. Take Highway 52 to Freedom. 45.422394, -88.718208.  Bird from the roadside from the intersection of Mile Street and Rangeline Road on the east to Freedom Corners Road to the west.
