Habitat: Willow, Adler, or Dogwood Swamp, Conifer Bog, Marsh, Northern Hardwood Forest, Hemlock and Hardwood Forest, Open Water.

Best Birds: Trumpeter Swan, Black-billed Cuckoo and Black Tern nest here.  Spruce Grouse, Red-Shouldered Hawk and Canada Jay are occasional here.  Olive-sided and Yellow-bellied Flycatcher and five other flycatcher species are possible.  Winter Wren is common.  Uncommon warblers include Northern Waterthrush, Cape May, Mourning, Northern Parula, Blackburnian, and Black-throated Blue.

Directions: 31 miles from Iron Mountain, MI.  Follow US Highway 2, State Highways 70 and 101, to Patton Lake Road to Northshore Road to the intersection with Savage Lake Road, Fire Number 4599, (Remington Loop Sign), 45.858433, -88.449800.  Travel this sand road past intersection with Remington Loop Kiosk to a small direction sign at 45.874699, -88.455200.  The sand road fork to the left goes to Savage Lake with parking at 45.882553, -88.453630.  Walking the grass road on the right fork leads to Robago Lake 45.881786, -88.446473.
