Best Birds: Check for waterfowl including Trumpeter Swan along the Menominee River.  Osprey, Northern Goshawk, and Bald Eagle are possible raptors.  Along the various paths look for four species of vireos including Yellow-throated Vireo.  Both Winter Wren and Wood Thrush nest here.  Uncommon warblers include Golden-winged, Mourning, and Magnolia Warbler.  Winter finches are possible in irruptive years.  A quiet paddle or boat ride along the northern and eastern perimeter of this large area may produce a variety of flycatchers, thrushes, and warblers.
