Coon Fork County Park & Coon Fork Barrens SNA

Habitat:  Open Water, Jack-Pine Oak Barrens, Sand Prairie, MIxed Coniferous Forest, Black Oak Forest.

Best Birds:  Nesting Broad-winged Hawk, Common Raven, Hermit Thrush, Red-Breasted Nuthatch, and Blue-winged and Golden-winged Warbler.

Directions: 28 miles SE of Eau Claire.  From Augusta, head east on Hwy 12, then left onto County CF which takes you to the park entrance (44.70158, -91.01295).  An entrance fee is required at the park.  A small parking area to access the SNA trails on the north side of County CF is located just to the west at the Horse Creek Rd intersection (44.70184, -91.01705)
