Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest, Non-Native Grassland, and Open Water. The 72 acre park’s boundary is the East Branch of the Rock River except on the east edge.
Best Birds: A 1.5 mile nature trail meanders through the Sugar Maple and ash dominated landscape. Species include Great-Horned Owl, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Great Crested Flycatcher, Brown Creeper, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and Wood Thrush. Bank Swallow, Northern Rough-Winged Swallow and Chimney Swift can be found along the East Branch of the Rock River by following the lower trail.
Directions: 56 miles NW of Milwaukee/North side of Mayville. Parking by ball diamonds can be accessed from County Road Y/Kekoskee Street.
