Ledge Park

Habitat: Located along the Niagara Escarpment and dominated by Southern Hardwood Forest and Oak-Hickory Forest.

Best Birds: Ledge Park offers views from the top of the escarpment down into the tree canopy where Barred Owl, Pileated Woodpecker, Alder Flycatcher, Great-crested Flycatcher,Yellow-throated Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Red-breasted Nuthatch and Scarlet Tanager can be seen.  Walk one of the marked trails along the ledge or through the oak studded campground for looks at Red-bellied Woodpecker, Eastern Wood Pewee, and Wood Thrush.  

Directions: 55 miles NW of Milwaukee/4 miles south of Mayville.  Take Raasch Hill Road to the park entrance.
