Harnischfeger Park

Habitat:  Bottomland Hardwoods, Southern Hardwood Forest, Non-native Grassland, and Successional Oldfield.

Best birds: A reliable spot for Prothonotary  Warbler,  either along the boardwalk or near the canoe launch.   Harnischfeger  Park has a good trail system, walking along the river and forest  can produce Bald Eagle, woodpeckers, and flycatchers.  Good for Rusty Blackbird in the spring.   Paddling the Rock River is  a great way to add species. Both upstream to Elmwood road and downstream to Kanow Park. 

Directions : 34 miles NW of Milwaukee/Eight miles east of Watertown, along the Rock River. Use County Road O to access Crawfish Rd.
