Habitat: Open Water, Northern Hardwood Forest and Pine Plantation.
Best Birds: With few lakes in the area, Rock Dam Lake can be a magnet for ducks, herons, and other water birds. Broad-winged Hawk, Hermit Thrush, Pine Warbler, and occasionally Red Crossbill can be found along the numerous roads and trails in the area.
Directions: 40 miles ESE of Eau Claire. 15 miles west of Greenwood on County highways G and GG. Scan the lake from the boat landing in Willard (44.73175, -90.84729) and from Sand Trail Park (44.72633, -90.83683) on Lakeside road on the southeast side of the lake.
