Habitat: 47 acres of Southern Hardwood Forest along the banks of the Black River.
Best Birds: Common central Wisconsin forest birds are found along the gravel hiking trails weaving through the arboretum: Yellow-throated Vireo and Barred Owl are often present, and Turkey Vulture roost within the park. Can be an excellent spot for passerine migrants as they move along the Black River corridor.
Directions: 54 miles SE of Eau Claire. On the southwest corner of the city of Neillsville, parking is located on the north side of US 10, 0.25 miles west of the Wisconsin 73 intersection. An additional entrance is on 2nd Street west of Hill Street, with parking on 2nd Street.
