Willow Road Fluddle

Willow Road Fluddle, Brown County, WI, US - eBird Hotspot

Habitat: Marsh, Non-Native Grassland and Pasture, Hardwood Swamp.

Best Birds: Grassland species including Sedge Wren, Bobolink, and Eastern Meadowlark can be found on the western half of Willow Road. The area is excellent for migrating Lapland Longspur and other open country species. There is a wetland on the north side of the eastern half of the road that occasionally has good habitat for ducks or shorebirds, depending on recent rains or snow melt. The hardwood swamp less than ½ mile north of Willow Road on Phillips Road is a good location to find Rusty Blackbird in spring. 

Directions: Exit Interstate 43 to the north following signs to State Highway 29. Proceed east on State Highway 29 2.5 miles to Phillips Road and 0.5 mile north to Willow Road.
