Brown County Reforestation Camp

https://ebird.org/hotspot/L724673

Habitat: Hemlock-Hardwood Forest, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Northern Hardwood Forest, Hardwood Swamp.

Best Birds: On the trails the various types of forest host locally uncommon breeders such as Red-shouldered Hawk, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Common Raven, Winter Wren, Brown Creeper, Pine Warbler, and sometimes Hermit Thrush. Some of these species can be encountered roadside along nearby Westview and Sunrise Rds. At the horse trail parking area on Sunrise Road relatively common species here include Veery and Brown Thrasher, and this is the last known location locally where Eastern Whip-poor-will resides.

Take County Road B west 2.5 miles to Reforestation Rd. and proceed north to the large parking area on the right for the Brown County Reforestation Camp (44.65660, -88.09031) or slightly further up the road to the parking lot on the left for the Northeast Wisconsin Zoo (44.66028, -88.09076).
