Habitat: Oak-Hickory Forest, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Nativer and Restored Prairie, Non-Native Grassland and Pasture, Cedar Swamp, Bottomland Hardwoods, Open Water.
Best birds: In spring all of the typical birds that migrate through forest areas come through the Greenway. Nesting birds include American Woodcock, Pileated Woodpecker, Great-horned and Barred Owl, Cooper’s Hawk, Golden and Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Winter Wren, and Scarlet Tanager.
Directions: On the east side of the city of Green Bay. From I-43 take the E. Mason St exit continuing east to Ontario Rd. Go north on Ontario to Sitka St. where there is a parking lot at Christa McAuliffe Park. Go to the trail signage, NE of the lot, and follow the brown trail. The Greenway trails extend over two miles west along Baird Creek.
