Join us as we learn all about the Timberdoodles, also known as the American Woodcock.
We will meet at 6:30pm and spend some time talking about the courtship rituals of these secretive birds. Then we walk the trails looking for spring migrants and some year-round residents. After exploring the arboretum, we will venture into Curtis Prairie where we will watch the courtship display of the American Woodcock. We will be traveling approximately 1-1.5 miles through a variety of habitats on mostly mowed/gravel trails. This is family friendly event. There is a porta-potty in the parking lot. We will have binoculars for those who need them.
