Wintering gulls of the Fox Valley ($25.00)  Registration Required

Saturday, February 9, 9 AM-12 PM

Join Stuart Malcolm of the Northeast Wisconsin Bird Club and Tom Schultz of the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology for a field workshop on gulls. We'll start indoors with an introduction to gull identification, learning that gull ID is not as terrifying as you might think, then head out to look for the rarer winter visitors as well as local birds. Target species would include Glaucous Gull, Iceland Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, and Great Black-backed Gull. We might also see some wintering waterfowl and numerous Bald Eagles. After a morning of gulling, we'll head to lunch at a local establishment to warm up and tell our bird stories.
