Mike Mossman, a retired ornithologist with WI DNR, will present about the rich grassland birdlife of the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant. The property, near Baraboo, has been declared an Important Bird Area for Wisconsin. Mike will talk about his study of the area, changes in birdlife over the years, and the future of birds at Badger. Understanding the interplay of human and natural history on the property and throughout our state is essential to the future of grassland birds, and to us.

Bird hikes will follow presentations when weather is permissible. Young adults and birders of all interest levels are welcome.
