Since New Year’s falls on the day of the week we traditionally meet, we thought we’d combine our usual “every bird is a new bird” field trip with a New Year’s Birdy Brunch! No speaker, just a morning field trip beginning at 7 a.m. at the Port Washington marina boat ramp (Google Map) that will work its way back to the barn at Riveredge (Google Map) for brunch at 11 a.m.  The menu calls for egg bakes, brunch potatoes, bagels and cream cheese, Kringle, juice, coffee, Grapefruit Mimosas and Bloody MaryHollebacks. Bring your spouse, kids or other significant folk to the brunch. Just let us know by Dec. 27 if you plan to join us. Send an email to Carl at cschwartz3@wi.rr.com so we know how much food to prepare. And if you have any leftover Christmas cookies, please bring them along. We will be setting us some platters to add to dessert.
