Join the Horicon Marsh Bird Club as we lead a field trip by bicycle to observe and document breeding bird activity on the Horicon Marsh. We plan on meeting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday July 14 at the west end of Dike Road just off of Highway 26. We will travel by bicycle along Dike Road to cover more ground and look for nesting grassland birds like Bobolinks, Sedge Wrens, and Eastern Meadowlarks. Then travel to lowland wooded areas of the Marsh that have historically hosted nesting Veery and Ovenbirds. We will also answer any questions you might have about how to classify bird behavior and about the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas.
